The flexible fabric smoke barrier can be designed as a passable smoke barrier (strips / lamellae) across the entire system width or across partial lengths. This system is particularly well-suited in passages or escape routes for forming smoke compartments.
The lamella width is individually coordinated to the application. Thus, for example, proper solutions are possible for pedestrian passages, passages for persons with walking aids (walker / wheelchair) or even for transporting recumbent patients in the clinic and nursing care section.
A flexible end strip enables it to close under its own weight, readjusts the position of the individual lamellae after swinging out, and precludes any risk of injury due to its flexibility.
The systems are optionally available with or without lateral guide rails in D30 - D120 or DH30 - DH120 class.
Functionality
When opened, the textile is located on a winding shaft in an enclosure made of galvanised sheet steel above the opening to be closed.
The winding shaft is held in the opened position by a magnetic clamp integrated in the tubular motor. The system closes in a speed-controlled manner under its own weight according to the gravity fail safe principle by means of an end rail. The closing speed is approx. 10 - 15 cm per second.
Wiring with functional integrity is not required due to the gravity fail safe principle. Motor controllers, additional accessory components, as well as installation variations can be found in the section Control units.
